Testing and Confirmed Cases
To protect patient privacy, ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥ has established a minimum threshold of five for reporting numbers of inpatients with laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥ internal counts as of 2:20 p.m. on 7/2/20:
- 49 inpatients are being treated for COVID-19.
- 15 inpatients who are positive for COVID-19 are being treated in the ICU.
- Seven who are positive for COVID-19 are on ventilators.
- 1,321 (cumulative) unique positives for COVID-19 tests including results from the ED, triage tent and inpatient. These individuals are not necessarily in the hospital.
- 10,679 (cumulative) unique negatives for COVID-19 at ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥ sites.
- 1,692 (cumulative) positive COVID-19 at ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥ sites. These individuals are not necessarily in the hospital.
- 12,620 (cumulative) negative tests at ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥ sites.
- 315 inpatients (cumulative) who were positive for COVID-19 have been discharged.
- 71 inpatients (cumulative) who were positive for COVID-19 have died at ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥. This is not an indication of the cause of death, only that the individuals were positive for COVID-19 at the time of death.
- 39 Tuscaloosa County residents (cumulative) who were positive for COVID-19 have died (per the Alabama Department of Public Health).
Also included is a chart showing the percent positive among those tested at ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥ locations. This chart reflects totals by the end of each day (except today).
No Remote Site Testing Tomorrow, Friday, July 3
ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥’s COVID-19 screening and testing service at its remote site in the Laundry Lot just west of ÐÂÔÂÖ±²¥ Regional Medical Center will be closed this Friday (July 3) for the holiday weekend. Next week the site will be back to its regular hours, Monday through Friday, 7–11 a.m.
